Tea tree essential oil, also known as “Melaleuca” oil, contains over 92 different compounds and can be applied topically in many ways. For centuries, the leaves of the tea tree have been used by Australian Aborigines, who crushed them and applied them to the skin to achieve a cooling effect. This oil is known for its cleansing properties and is excellent for skin and nail care, helping to maintain a healthy complexion and soothe occasional skin irritations.
• For skin irritations, apply 1-2 drops of tea tree oil to the affected area.
• Add 1–2 drops to your facial makeup remover for extra cleansing or use after shaving.
• Apply the oil to fingernails and toenails after bathing to cleanse and enhance their healthy appearance.
• Mix a few drops with water in a spray bottle and use as a surface cleaner.
• Topical use: Apply 1-2 drops to the chosen area. Dilute with doTERRA fractionated coconut oil to minimize the risk of skin sensitivity.
