Geranium, belonging to the Pelargonium genus, is cultivated both for its beauty and for the benefits it offers in the perfumery industry. Although there are over 200 varieties of pelargonium, only a few are used for essential oil production. The uses of Geranium oil date back to ancient Egypt, where it was used to beautify the skin. In the Victorian era, fresh geranium leaves decorated tables and were sometimes consumed as a meal supplement. Geranium oil supports a healthy appearance of skin and hair, making it an ideal addition to care products. Additionally, its scent helps calm nerves and relieve stress. Geranium is also a natural insect repellent.
