Oregano is one of the strongest and most potent essential oils and has been used for centuries in traditional health practices due to its skin-cleansing properties. The primary chemical components of Oregano are carvacrol and thymol, both from the phenol group, which have cleansing properties. Due to the high phenol content, caution should be exercised when inhaling or diffusing oregano; only one to two drops are sufficient. Additionally, when applied to the skin, Oregano should be diluted with dōTERRA fractionated coconut oil. Oregano blends well with bergamot, cedarwood, cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, frankincense, ginger, lavender, lemon, rosemary, thyme.
